The Poco M2 is launched tomorrow through a virtual event in India. The phone, as the name suggests, is a toned-down version of the Poco M2 Pro that was launched in India in July as a slightly smaller version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

The Poco M2 has been launched with impressive specifications for its price tag, such as the MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor on the phone, quad rear cameras, and a larger battery. The Poco M2 smartphone is offered in two RAM and storage configurations and three color options.

The Poco M2 comes in two configurations, 6 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB. Starting price of base variant Rs. 10,999, while the top-end variant of the phone is priced at Rs. 12,499. The phone has been introduced in three color options such as Pitch Black, Slate Blue, and Brick Red. The phone is scheduled to go on its first sale via Flipkart from September 15 to 12 noon.

Poco M2 Specifications


The Dual-SIM (Nano) Poco M2 runs on MIUI for Moto based on Android 10, and MIUI 12 will be available soon. It has a 6.53-inch full-HD + (1,080x2,340 pixels) display. Which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by an Octa-core processor, along with the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC chipset used in the Poco M2, paired with the Mali G52 GPU, and comes with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM is.

The Poco M2 has a quad rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel sensor with a macro lens, and finally a 2-megapixel. A depth sensor is included. The front of the phone has a waterdrop notch, which has an 8-megapixel shooter camera inside the notch for selfie and video calls.

The Poco M2 has up to 128 GB onboard storage which can be extended via microSD card. Connectivity options on the phone include dual-band Wi-Fi, dual VoLTE support, 4G, Bluetooth v5.0, IR blaster, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. Poco M2's sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone comes with a 5,000W battery that supports 18W fast charging, but Poco has provided a 10W charger inside the box of the phone. The phone also comes with a P2i coating for splash resistance. Which will protect the phone from water splashes.
