Talking about the phone's processor, the phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G35, the phone comes with 2GB and 3GB RAM options and sports up to 64GB of onboard storage. According to the microsite, the smartphone will reportedly run on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top.

On the camera, Redmi 9 will sport an AI-powered dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary lens with f / 2.2 aperture and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 aperture. The front will have a 5-megapixel camera for selfie and video calling.

The phone will reportedly not have fast charging support, the phone is also expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support and will come with a micro-USB connector and 3.5mm headphone jack.
